Most COI requests are free and fast. Here's what you need to know about fees and when a policy change may be required.

Add or Remove a Vehicle

Additional Insured — Fee May Apply

Adding a waiver of subrogation may carry a fee. We'll review the cost with you and get your approval before any changes are made.

How long does a policy change take to process?

Processing times vary depending on your insurance carrier and the type of change being requested. Some changes can be processed and confirmed the same day, while others may require carrier review and approval, which can take several business days. Our team will keep you informed throughout the process and provide an estimated timeline when we review your request.

Will my premium change?

Depending on the nature of the change, your premium may be adjusted. For example, adding a vehicle, driver, or increasing coverage limits will typically result in an additional premium. We will always review any cost changes with you and obtain your approval before processing the update to your policy.

Do I need to sign anything?

Yes. For your protection, we require a signed authorization form before any changes are made to your policy. This ensures that all modifications are properly documented and approved by you. Our team will send you the necessary forms for your signature as part of the policy change process.

What if I need to cancel my policy?

Cancellation terms depend on the type of policy you hold. For trucking policies with active filings, cancellations are subject to a 35-day notice requirement. Other policy types may have a minimum earned premium or additional terms that apply. We recommend contacting our office to discuss your specific situation so we can walk you through the process and any applicable conditions.

Is there a fee for my policy change?

Nova Coverage does not charge a service fee to process policy changes. The only cost to you is any additional premium required by the carrier to accommodate the change. Please note that if you choose to pay the down payment on a policy change with a credit card, a credit card processing fee may apply.
